2024 Meadowlands Summer Survival Challenge
Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment’s 2024 Summer Survival Challenge (THE CHALLENGE) runs May 3 through August 3, 2024.
The CHALLENGE is a FREE on-line contest. Participants are required to sign up via an email address, logon to THE CHALLENGE and select one and one entry only in each of the three game races selected by the game Commissioner. Past performances for each challenge race are available on the game page courtesy of Trackmaster.com.
Participants are credited with a "mythical" $2.00 win (1st), place (2nd), and show (3rd) or "across the board" wager on each of their selections in the three designated races each night. The total mutuel payouts according to The Meadowlands official race results will be accrued to the participant's "mythical" bankroll.
EXAMPLE: if your selection in CHALLENGE RACE 1 finishes 2nd , paying $5.60 to place and $3.10 to show , your selection in CHALLENGE RACE 2 does not finish first, second, or third (off the board), your selection in CHALLENGE RACE 3 finishes 3rd and pays $3.20 to show, your virtual bankroll will be credited or increased by $11.90 ($5.60 $3.10 $3.20).
Participants survive THE CHALLENGE until such day that none of their race selections finishes in the money. Participants do not have to make a selection in all three races. In the event of a late scratch of a participant's selection, participant's selection is automatically transferred to the post-time (off-time) favorite. If participant selects a "coupled" entry, and one (or in the case of a three-horse entry, two) horse(s) is (are) scratched, participant's choice is the remaining horse(s) in the originally selected entry. If all parts of a selected entry are scratched, the player receives the post-time favorite. If the post-time favorite is a "coupled" entry, the player receives the entire entry and will be credited with the mutuel payout accordingly.
Participants begin the game with ONE LUCKY HORSESHOE. The lucky horseshoe is a free pass day that allows players to survive if they do not enter selections for a race day or all three of their selections fail to finish in the money. The "lucky horseshoe" is automatically assessed when players do not enter selections or all three of their selections fail to finish in the money on a particular racing day. Participants having used their "lucky horseshoe" will be eliminated when no selection in any race is recorded or the chosen selections fail to increase their bankroll on a particular racing day. Players who do not "survive" THE CHALLENGE and have been eliminated may still be eligible for prizes at the end of THE CHALLENGE based on their "virtual" bankroll at the time of their elimination. THE CHALLENGE begins Friday, May 3, 2024 and concludes when the last Meadowlands live race is official on Saturday, August 3, 2024. THE CHALLENGE scoring is based on pari-mutuel information as supplied by the USTA. Your race selections must be made no less than thirty (30) minutes prior to the start of the first race – first race post time is 6:20 pm; special 12noon post time on Hambletonian Day, Saturday, August 3. REMEMBER, YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR SELECTIONS AT ANY TIME PRIOR TO THIRTY (30) MINUTES TO FIRST POST.
In the event of a tie for the highest accumulated pari-mutuel total (bankroll), the player selecting the most first place finishers will be declared the winner. If there is a tie for highest accumulated bankroll and more winners, a random drawing will be held.
In the event of a tie in the most WINNERS category, the player with the highest accumulated pari-mutuel total will be declared the winner. In the unlikely event of a tie in the most WINNERS category also achieving a tie in the highest accumulated pari-mutuel total, a random drawing will be held to determine the winner.
Players may access a daily leader board listing each participant's current standings and race selections after close of entries. Winners will be notified by email.

ELIGIBILITY
CHALLENGE participants must agree to abide by THE CHALLENGE official rules, be 18 years or older at time of entry, possess a valid email address, and be a legal resident of the U.S. or Canada.
No purchase or payment is required to enter or play. One entry per person. Persons who submit more than one email registration will be disqualified and will not be eligible to win prizes.
Registration is limited to four (4) entries per household and or network. Players will be warned if a fifth entry is detected from the same household/network. Game Administrators reserve the right to remove any player from the game that exceeds the household and/or network registration limit.
Employees of NMRLLC, ARK, Global Tote, FanDuel and members of their immediate families, any individuals residing in jurisdictions where participation in THE CHALLENGE is prohibited by law, and any individual prohibited by law from participating in THE CHALLENGE, are ineligible to participate.
THE LUCKY HORSESHOE
The lucky horseshoe helps you Survive within the Survival Challenge game. It is automatically applied to any day that you do not make selections OR any day that your selections do not finish on the board. You are given one (1) lucky horseshoe during the game.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
To enter THE CHALLENGE, registration must be made on meadowlandsracetrack.com/survival page by completing the mandatory fields on the electronic sign up form. All entries must be received by Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment by Friday, May 3, 2024, 5:50 PM EDT. Written, faxed, and hand-delivered registrations will not be accepted under any circumstances. By entering THE CHALLENGE, entrant agrees to abide by the decisions of NMRLLC and its corporate partners and release and hold harmless Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment, its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, trustees, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with any prize(s) won. Information submitted in the registration for THE CHALLENGE may be retained by The Meadowlands, shared with its corporate partners, and used for marketing, research, or other purposes.
ALL DECISIONS IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE CHALLENGE ARE FINAL AND BINDING.
THE CHALLENGE is void where prohibited by law, and is governed by the laws of the United States of America and the State of New Jersey. Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment reserves the right at any time to cancel or suspend THE CHALLENGE without individual notice to participants or prospective participants by posting such notice on its website and shall bear no obligation or liability to award any prizes in the event of a cancellation or suspension. If any of the races selected for THE CHALLENGE are cancelled for any reason, ALL selections for that day will be deemed null and void and all entrants will advance to the next racing day. If racing is cancelled, but all CHALLENGE races are contested, the results of these races stand.
It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to notify NMRLLC in writing or via email of any changes in his or her email address. Prize winners may be required to complete, sign, and return an affidavit of eligibility. Acceptance of any prize award as a result of the entrant's participation in THE CHALLENGE grants permission to Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment to use the name, likeness, or photograph of that participant for publicity purposes without additional compensation. All applicable taxes with regard to prize awards are the individual responsibility of the winner.
Prize winner(s) determined to be ineligible to participate in THE CHALLENGE and finishing in an awarded position will be disqualified from that position and the player with the next highest category total will be accordingly awarded. The Meadowlands and its partners reserve the right to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to corrupt the entry process, or the operation of THE CHALLENGE, or web site, or acts in a disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other participant. Any attempt to defraud THE CHALLENGE administrators or contestants will result in disqualification and all decisions by Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment in the administration of THE CHALLENGE are final and binding.
Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment is not responsible for lost, interrupted, unavailable, defective or damaged hardware, software, and electronic, wireless, or telephone transmissions or technical failures, garbled transmissions, and the unavailability of its website or any website associated with THE CHALLENGE.
Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment & NMRLLC are not responsible for defects, repairs or Warranty issues regarding any prize.
NMRLLC promises to make every effort to notify you via email of any technical failures and updates: however, due to the unpredictable nature of present, state-of-the-art computer technology, server outages may occur resulting in your elimination from the survival game. We regret this unfortunate possibility. By agreeing to the terms and conditions of the survival challenge herein, you fully recognize that NMRLLC is not responsible for such errors.
